Waffle recipes for every meal

Celebrate National Waffle Day Aug. 24 with waffles for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert! Whether you prefer the thick and crispy Belgian kind or the dense and chewy Liege, waffles pair well with almost any topping.

Toast to National Waffle Day!

Breakfast: Bananas Foster waffles

Ingredients:

  • KRUPS’ signature waffle recipe (previous page)
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 6 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon rum extract

Directions:

  1. Follow the instructions for KRUPS’ signature waffles on the previous page.
  2. In a large skillet, combine corn syrup, brown sugar, maple syrup and pecans.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat, and simmer for two minutes.
  4. Add banana slices and rum extract. Coat with the syrup mixture and simmer one minute.
  5. Spoon over waffles and serve immediately.

Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly waffles

Ingredients:

  • KRUPS’ signature waffle recipe (previous page)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup raspberry preserves
  • Fresh berries for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Follow the instructions for KRUPS’ signature waffles on the previous page.
  2. Spoon peanut butter and jelly over warm waffles and serve immediately.
