White pizza grilled cheese

White pizza is delicious and a twist on a classic. This time, we’ve given it another spin. Ricotta cheese, spices and mozzarella cheese are sandwiched between two crusty pieces of fried bread. This is your new favorite grilled cheese!

Looking for a totally indulgent over-the-top grilled cheese? Well, you’re in luck! This sandwich is delicious and a breeze to put together. It has all the classic flavors of a white pizza but sandwiched in between two crusty pieces of fresh sliced bread. You will love this sandwich!

White pizza grilled cheese recipe

Yields 2-4 sandwiches (depends on bread size)

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 slices fresh ciabatta bread (sandwich count depends on size of bread)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 4 ounces finely shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Pinch of fresh cracked pepper
  • 2 thin slices provolone cheese

Directions:

  1. Lay out the bread and lightly oil one side.
  2. In a small bowl, add ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix to combine.
  3. Add equal amount of filling to the un-oiled side of two slices of bread. Top with provolone cheese and then top with other slice of bread (oiled side out) and add to a skillet that has been heated over medium heat.
  4. Cook till one side is toasted, carefully flip and toast other side. Serve hot.
