Annette Starbuck is the genius behind Goodie Girls of La Cañada, California, who also happens to be the winner of Cupcake Wars Season 3. After receiving national recognition for her cupcake skills, Annette’s customer list grew, with new clients like Disney, Focus Features, Kaley Cuoco and Daniel Radcliffe. But back to the cupcakes — Goodie Girls is unique since it features fun, fresh and totally unexpected cupcake flavors, like Mint Julep, Pinkamena and even Choco Maple Bacon Potato Chip. You can order these cupcake goodies online any day of the week, or visit the storefront if you’re in the L.A. area.

9. Robicelli’s

The rest of the world is about to get a taste of the bakery that Brooklynites have been going crazy for — Robicelli’s is expanding internationally through a partnership with Fransmart. Though the Brooklyn storefront has closed, Robicelli’s still offers yummy cupcakes through delivery, with shipment on select seasonal items available nationwide. The cupcake-centric bakery, created by Allison and Matt Robicelli, has been going strong since 2008 with features on “Best of” lists from the Cooking Channel, the Food Network, Yelp, Zagat and more. The cupcakes are divine, but Robicelli’s might be best known for its mind-blowing Nutella Lasagna, made in honor of World Nutella Day (and available for shipment).

10. Cupcake Royale

You knew that a city full of West Coast foodies had to have at least one cupcake shop to write home about. With six locations in Seattle, Cupcake Royale is both a cupcakery and an ice creamery that also offers espresso (because, of course, Seattle). And being that cupcake enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest are so open-minded and experimental, Cupcake Royale will let you have the best of both worlds — by ordering a cupcake served in a cup of espresso. Super-delicious Cupcake Royale flavors, available online or via cupcake delivery, rotate seasonally and may include Peanut Butter Sriracha, Limoncello Meringue, Salted Caramel or Dance Party.
