Planet Earth cookie pops
Yields about 12 cookies
Ingredients:
- Batch of sugar cookie dough (use this recipe)
- Blue cookie icing gel
- Green cooking icing gel
- 12 lollipop sticks
Directions:
Cut dough into 4-inch circles
Roll dough out to about 1/3-inch thickness. Using a 4-inch cookie cutter (or a 1/4-cup measure), stamp out circles from the rolled out sugar cookie dough. Place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Carefully press a lollipop stick into the dough. Bake cookies for about 11 minutes, or until golden brown.
Flood cookie with blue icing
Circle the inside of a baked cookie with blue cookie icing.
Using a butter knife, smooth out the inside of the circle until it’s all blue.
Let the blue icing dry completely before you add the green.
Draw on green continents with green icing
Once the blue icing has dried, pipe continent shapes onto it using the green cookie icing.
Let dry completely and then enjoy!
