Vegan-hater Roseanne Barr now a farm-loving nut grower

Though Roseanne Barr is no fan of veganism, she does have a green side — she is literally going nuts — and will be airing it on an upcoming Lifetime reality series.

Roseanne is a locavore

As reported by Ecorazzi.com, former sitcom star and comedian Roseanne Barr is not only growing macadamia nuts on her farm in Hawaii, she is going to film her family’s life on the nut farm in a 16-episode reality TV series for Lifetime.

Roseanne recently told Oprah, “I’m a farmer now, and it’s fantastic. My goal is to be totally self-sufficient and grow everything I eat.” We agree that there is “something about earning your dinner that’s cool”. We just hope she eats more than nuts.

Roseanne “keeping it real”

During her interview on Oprah, Roseanne doesn’t just talk farm. The 58-year old grandmother of five shares her past and the lessons she’s learned during her tabloid-worthy life. The comedian said, “I’m coming back down to earth and keeping it real.” Though we find humor in the term “Roseanne’s gone nuts”, we wish her the best in her green endeavors.
