Steve-O protests for Lucy the elephant

Steve-O recently joined PETA to protest outside the Edmonton Valley Zoo in efforts to convince the zoo to release Lucy the elephant, who has been kept in the zoo for over 30 years, and is currently experiencing a number of health problems as a result.

Via Ecorazzi: “I’m sympathetic to Lucy because I know that elephants in their natural habitat will walk some 30 miles every day,” says Steve-O. “I don’t understand how the zoo’s able to keep her. It seems so black and white.”

Eco-celebs join together for Lucy

Steve-O joins William Shatner, Bob Barker and NHL pro Georges Laraque in his fight to get Lucy free and sent to an animal sanctuary.
