Restaurants are a date night staple, a place to wine, dine, and party with your pals. We all have a favorite, one where we know the drinks by heart and have our usual; and so do celebrities! In fact, some celebrities loved certain foods or businesses so much that they became an owner! It happens more than you think, and there are way more celebrities with their own restaurants than you may have guessed.
For instance, did you know that Robert De Niro is a co-founder of celebrity hotspot Nobu? Or that actress Piper Perabo owns two restaurants in New York? Or that Lisa Vanderpump owns a lot of dining places?! No, seriously, we could go on (and we will), because it seems like all of our favorite celebs have owned a restaurant.
Now, here’s the thing: were only going to be talking about celebrities who are a co-founder, co-owner, or who invested so much money in it that they’re synonymous with the brand. And, as we said, so many celebrities have opened restaurants, but so many of them have closed as well. So we’re only going to talk about celebrity-owned restaurants you can still visit in 2025.
Below, check out which restaurants are owned by celebrities.

King talked about the restaurant in a previous interview with Miami News, “Blue Tree Café is this woman’s genius idea. It’s a plant-based, plant forward kitchen, and also an incubator program. We have soul food, healthy soul food. We don’t use white sugar, we don’t use white bread, so we’re really conscious about the ingredients we use, because we want the food to not only taste good, but we want it to be good for your soul.”

Sadly, the intimate spot that was close to her home closed after nine years, allegedly due to the lack of foot traffic. She had to lay off the 20-person staff but helped them find new gigs.
However, she owns another Austin, Texas food spot: Walton’s Fancy & Staple. It’s a bakery, takeout deli, coffee shop, florist, and catering operation that’s all about classic Southern comfort. It opened back in 2009 and is still thriving today.
“The acting is to fund what I do here in Austin,” Bullock told the Austin American Statesman about how her focus has been making roots in her town.
Ludacris: Chicken + Beer

You won’t see that many in affluent neighborhoods. We have an obesity problem at our schools. We give our kids junk food instead of vegetables. I’m sorry, I sometimes get on a soapbox. In a previous interview with Interview Magazine, she revealed if she’s more hands-on or hands-off, saying, “Primarily I invest because I’m really a firm believer in letting the artist make their work, if you choose to work with an artist then you give them the go-ahead, but all through the construction—the menus, the tastings, everything—I was constantly sitting in the construction site with them, drinking coffee, one of us is holding one of their babies and we’re talking about colors, the restaurant itself is named after Dean’s grandparents, so we’re all sitting there drinking coffee and talking about our lives.”
Ty Burrell: The Eating Establishment, Beer Bar, Bar-X, & The Cotton Bottom Inn
Modern Family alum Ty Burrell is the co-owner of four restaurants in Salt Kale City, Utah called The Eating Establishment (which was bought by Edison Alley Group in 2016), Beer Bar, Bar-X, and The Cotton Bottom Inn.
“The idea to venture into the food and wine industry came during the early days of Modern Family. My wife and I were living in Utah when I wasn’t filming, and sometime after we had settled in Salt Lake. I was approached by a member of my extended family, Jeff Bernard―he’s really the reason I ended up in the restaurant industry―who had a really great idea to invest in this dive bar located in the heart of the city,” he said to Utah Business about getting into the food game. “Though I was busy, I don’t regret a thing because Bar X was such the right idea. Bar X originally opened in 1933 and legend has it that the bar was up, running, and ready to serve alcohol the day Prohibition was repealed. However, when we took it over the bar was in a state of disrepair. It had been a cool dive bar for a long time, but then in the last stretch it took an extra dive; it was in pretty bad shape but we felt like we could restore the bar to its original glory if we just gave it a little extra love.”
