How to cut brownie squares better than Barefoot Contessa (VIDEO)

Brownies are my go-to dessert. I won’t lie — I buy them out of the box. They’re cheap, easy to make and taste just as good as a homemade batch. I’ve made them from scratch, and honestly, it’s a waste of time. However, my friends don’t need to know that. So learn how to cut them into perfect squares, and then sprinkle on some powdered sugar, or add sprinkles. Like my mama says, “Fake it till you make it, baby!”

Whether or not you decide to make boxed brownies or go all out and do it the hard way, follow these simple instructions for the perfect brownie display.

Directions:

  1. Line the pan with parchment paper.
  2. Pour the batter.
  3. Bake to perfection.
  4. Lift the parchment paper once the brownies have cooled.
  5. Slice, and you’re ready to go.

I recommend putting powdered sugar on your brownies once they come out of the oven to give them a more elegant touch. You can also put sprinkles or M&M’s on top before baking to add color and a little something special.
