2. Chewy ginger molasses cookies recipe

Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt. Set aside.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar.
- Add in the eggs and molasses, and beat on medium-low speed until combined. Gradually add in the dry ingredient mixture, and beat until combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls about 1 inch in diameter.
- Fill a small bowl with cinnamon and sugar, and roll each ball until completely coated.
- Place the cookie dough balls on a cookie sheet at least 1 inch apart.
- Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, until the cookies begin to crack slightly on top.
