Essentially, cookie butter is a jar of spreadable, pulverized spice cookies. It has the consistency of peanut butter and a slightly spicy, almost gingerbread-like flavor, which makes it perfect for both sweet and savory recipes. You can keep it simple and spread it on your morning toast, or kick it up a notch by including it in a flavor-packed savory dish. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Watch as I show you five creative and simple ways to use cookie butter in the kitchen, including in warm and gooey crescent rolls dripping with icing, spicy and sweet Thai chicken lettuce wraps and a protein power smoothie. There’s also a special recipe that’s near and dear to my heart — the cookie butter Hummer. It’s a twist on a classic Michigan dessert cocktail that’s part milkshake and all heaven. Enjoy!
