5 Recipes that prove you can do anything with deli turkey (VIDEO)

Mini-BLTT (bacon, lettuce, tomato, turkey) recipe

Yields 10

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices wheat bread
  • 1 (8 ounce) package Hormel Natural Choice Oven Roasted Deli Turkey
  • 3 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 5 Campari tomatoes (or use any small tomato)
  • 1 leaf butter lettuce
  • 3 slices pepper jack cheese
  • Toothpicks

Directions:

  1. Toast 5 slices of bread.
  2. With small round cookie cutter or biscuit cutter (approximately 1- to 1-1/2-inch), cut 4 rounds out of each slice of bread.
  3. Use the cookie cutter to cut turkey into rounds, or just cut the the turkey slices into quarters.
  4. Cook bacon pieces in skillet or oven until crispy. Drain on a paper towel.
  5. Use a knife to cut each piece of bacon into 1 to 1-1/2-inch pieces (approximately 4 pieces per each piece of bacon; should be approximately the size of the bread rounds).
  6. Cut each tomato into thin slices.
  7. Cut each cheese slice into 4 squares.
  8. Tear lettuce into 10 small pieces (should be approximately the size of the bread rounds).
  9. Assemble mini sandwiches in this order: bread round, lettuce, turkey (a small stack), cheese, bacon, tomato, bread round.
  10. Secure with a toothpick.
