Candy cane skillet cookie recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 cup unwrapped Hershey’s Kisses candy cane-flavored candies
- Crushed candy cane and vanilla ice cream for topping (optional)
Directions:
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place an 8-inch skillet over low heat, and melt the butter.
- Once the butter has melted, turn off the heat, and remove the skillet from the burner.
- Whisk the sugar into butter until dissolved.
- Add the vanilla and egg to combine.
- Whisk in the baking soda, powder and salt, and add the flour a little at a time, stirring slowly to keep all the ingredients in the skillet. You might want to use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides.
- Once all the ingredients are well combined, mix in the Hershey’s Kisses candy cane-flavored candies.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Top with ice cream and crushed candy cane pieces.
