Hershey’s dark chocolate Kisses cake
Ingredients:
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
- 1 cup boiling water
- Hershey’s Kisses Special Dark mildly sweet chocolate
Directions:
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease 2 (8-inch) round pans.
- In a large bowl, stir together the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt till well combined.
- Add in the eggs, milk, oil and vanilla, and mix for 2 more minutes.
- Stir in the boiling water last.
- Split the batter between the 2 pans.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
To decorate:
- Once the cake has cooled, frost it with your favorite buttercream recipe.
- Then, beginning in the center and working in concentric circles, cover the top and sides of the cake with the Hershey’s Kisses Special Dark mildly sweet chocolate.
