The Voice has attracted its fair share of big names over the years, including these notable individuals.
Natasha Bure
Natasha Bure made her famous mom Candace Cameron Bure proud with a stunning rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which convinced Adam Levine to turn his chair around almost immediately. Unfortunately, after an impressive duet of “Cry Me a River” with Riley Elmore, Bure was forced to pack her bags, as only Elmore was chosen to continue on in the competition.
Billy Gilman
When child star Billy Gilman auditioned for The Voice, longtime fans automatically assumed he’d win the show. He didn’t quite fulfill their expectations, but he did make it to the final round before being edged out by Sundance Head and settling for second place.
Jack Cassidy
Eager to continue the long line of successful Cassidy musicians, Jack Cassidy, nephew of David Cassidy and grandson of Shirley Jones, auditioned for The Voice Season 12. It was an incredibly bittersweet moment, airing just days after David Cassidy retired from touring due to dementia.
Aijia Grammer
Being married to one of the world’s hottest pop stars is no guarantee of success on The Voice, as Aijia (the wife of Andy Grammer) learned when she auditioned for Season 10. The judges claimed that, while her voice was pretty, her performance lacked the passion necessary to get those chairs turning.
Briana Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco is by no means the only big star in the Cuoco family! Her sister, Briana, is a very talented singer, as she proved when she auditioned for The Voice in 2013. She was eventually defeated in a tough matchup against Team Blake’s Shelbie Z. Clearly upset, Briana’s famous sis defended her on Twitter, claiming that Blake only chose Shelbie Z due to her country roots.
Dana Harper
Dana Harper’s celebrity relative is, perhaps, not as well known as Kaley Cuoco, but he’s a very familiar face in the Dallas-Fort Worth area: former NBA star Derek Harper, who is now the official broadcaster for the Dallas Mavericks. Dana impressed the judges during her audition for Season 11 but was eliminated after the Live Playoffs.
Tony Lucca
Several former Mouseketeers have gone on to enjoy extraordinary music industry success, including, of course, Christina Aguilera. Fellow Mickey Mouse Club alum Tony Lucca decided to try his hand on The Voice. He made it all the way to the final round but came in third. The show offered him the exposure he needed, and he was eventually signed to Adam Levine’s record label.
Alisan Porter
Few people expected the precocious lead of Curly Sue to resurface on a reality show, but that’s exactly what happened. Child star Alisan Porter impressed the moment she arrived on The Voice. She helped Christina Aguilera achieve the show’s first win for a female coach.
