The former England international has spent the second half of the season on loan at Dortmund after being dropped from the first-team squad at United following a public bust-up with Old Trafford manager Erik ten Hag.
With two years left to run on his United contract, Sancho's future is unclear, but Terzic said that the player is happy and able to produce his best form at Dortmund.
"I am very happy to work with Jadon," Terzic said. "I don't know what the future will bring, but for sure it will bring him another Champions League final.
"I didn't speak about his future [at Dortmund} because we have been talking about the present and the present is playing a Champions League final in his hometown, a very special moment for him.
"He is very happy with us and you can see the joy he has and the joy he brings to us. The last six months, he has been brilliant for us. Of course, he took time to get into shape, but you can feel his quality and his skills improved our game straightaway.
"He not only improved his game, but those around him. He is very gifted."
Dortmund dominated for long periods of the game against Madrid , but failed to take their key chances. And Terzic said it was difficult to explain the defeat following the performance of his team.
"It's very tough to find the right words," he said. "Performance-wise we showed a great game, but we also found out why they just became European champions for the 15th time.
"They have been so effective and this is something we missed. The proud thing is that we gave a really good game and we showed everyone that we came here not just to play a game but to win.
"We were very close and it has been small things missing. Congratulations to them. To keep this kind of hunger to go and win it again, you see why they are the true champions."
