The two-time Wimbledon champion said on June 27 that if was able to play at Wimbledon -- as he has did on Thursday -- then he would likely retire after the Paris Olympics. Murray faced a race against time to be fit to play in his final tournament at the All England Club after undergoing a procedure to address a spinal cyst on June 22. He subsequently withdrew from his first-round singles match on Tuesday, but confirmed that he would play in the men's doubles. However, the 37-year-old's Wimbledon farewell got off to a difficult start on Thursday as he was knocked out of the men's doubles in the first round alongside his older brother, Jamie, with a 7-6 (6), 6-4 loss to Australian pair Rinky Hijikata and John Peers. Speaking after the match, Murray discussed coming to terms with the end of his playing career. "I would love to keep playing, but I can't physically. It is too tough now. All of the injuries, they've added up. ... They haven't been insignificant. But yeah, I want to play forever," Murray told the BBC. "I love the sport. It's given me so much, taught me loads of lessons over the years that I can use for the rest of my life. But yeah, I don't want to stop, so it is hard." Murray also hinted that he might be interested in taking up coaching in his post-playing career. Asked if he was a good tennis watcher, Murray said: "It depends who I'm watching. I hate watching my brother. I find it really difficult to watch my brother play. But yeah, I love tennis. I watch it all the time. I'd probably be more comfortable sitting up there in a coaching box than somewhere else." Murray is due to take to the court again this week after Wimbledon organisers announced on Wednesday that he had entered the mixed doubles draw alongside fellow Brit Emma Raducanu after the pair were given a wild-card entry. The mixed doubles competition begins on Friday. 2024 Interior Design Trends.webp Interior Design Trends 2024 With Stunning Lighting 768x512 Alair Interior Design Trends 2000x1325 Maxresdefault Fall2024FrontPage Maxresdefault 2024 Chrysler Airflow Interior A7da53eed62c324c462fb809e3cf021e.webp C8029fdbc32a6cd815b4790df8615a8c Xlarge 2024 Subaru Legacy Limited XT Interior 2024 Interior Decoration Trends Maxresdefault Без названия 1000 × 2000 пикс. 1000 × 2000 пикс. копия копія 1000 × 2000 пікс. 1000 × 2000 пікс. копия копия 1000 X 2000 пикс 18 21b25a7a25c4b4dabdb32c13d3bd0d61 AFJahSmhBf3AzkA5cNSBBU Dc80d2f9bed1fc41a15e44202fdee393 2 Scaled 179fd4bd97204bbae0186b02103aa1c9 A968b155c0e8ecbdc88f860a1b26ac3a Ece84dba2e4032f8b9ed7d5d5f9bb448 Interior Design Trends 2023 Showhouse 1666891132 2 Edc080122toro 003 1652478554 ?crop=0.844xw 1.00xh;0.141xw,0&resize=1200 * 144428742515 Innovative Bedroom Wall Designs 2024 For Your Lovable Home F0f678ca3508af24602b8f00e8896367 Maxresdefault Maxresdefault Interior Design Trends For 2024 8 501c39a4b9b4f6f4cdab19f1303e0293 Hqdefault 0b597cab3ac29e34883a261d896b3ef8 Living Room 02 1 1675195291 NjdSB Flyboync Com 08336*1200xx4240 2394 0 437 4f8013aeb0698b4e2dce2685e1c378bc
