A long day of classes can be a downer, but with these five tips for your morning routine, you will be able to stay fresh, fly and fierce.
1. Get an early start
One of the best things you can do for yourself at the start of a long day is to not press the snooze button. Yes, your covers feel amazing, but heading out of the door unrushed and confident feels even better. Preparation to have a great day usually begins the night before by enjoying a good night’s sleep. Refuse the snooze (button) and instead use those extra 10 or 15 minutes for your morning routine.
2. Fuel your body
You wouldn’t expect your car to run without any gas in it, right? The same goes for your body. No way can you make it through chem, English lit, French and your acting workshop without having something in your belly. Fruit, yogurt, a fresh juice or smoothie, oatmeal, a bagel or some type of egg dish are all quick, easy and nutritious ways to fuel up for your long day of classes.
3. Start fresh, clean and beautiful
Feeling confident starts with the basics. Insecurity about body odor, bad breath or stained clothes can make any interactions potentially mortifying, and make your day seem so much longer. For your packed day of classes, make sure to start with a nice invigorating shower. Use a body wash that exfoliates or has a rich lather. Of course, use your normal daily hygiene practices, including those little extras that us women have to do.
In order to feel fresh and confident in the womanly department, try out the Carefree Acti-Fresh Pantiliners. They are soft, thin, absorbent and most important of all, they get the job done. Now that you’ve taken care of your body, you can adorn it with the cute outfit you picked out for yourself and the low-fuss, but beautiful makeup routine you’ve perfected.
4. Make a plan
You can’t face your longest day of the week without a solid plan of action. Figure out important parts of your day like when and where you can have lunch, whether or not you will actually get around to returning your mother’s phone call and if a nap at your friend’s dorm room is a possibility. Food, rest and having some semblance of a social life will be important factors in keeping your energy and attention span at optimal levels throughout the day.
5. Pack smart
You are well rested, fed, fresh, beautiful and you have a plan. Now, you just need to pack. Get all of your class-related supplies and anything else you need to keep your confidence at a 10. Breath strips, travel-size deodorant, makeup for touch-ups and snacks are all essentials and they are all lightweight, which means you won’t be lugging a ton of extra weight for your long day.
