HEALTHY SNACK CHOICES
When the mid-morning or mid-afternoon stomach grumblings start, bypass the vending machine chips and chocolate bars in favour of healthy snacks, such as fruits or nuts. Fresh items are always a better choice than processed foods, so aim to avoid consuming the added chemicals and preservatives of processed foods where you can.
Snacking on foods like apples, raisins or baby carrots while you are on the go is a great way to get that “sweet” flavour, and snacking on healthy foods in between meals helps to keep your blood sugar level high, prevents fatigue and prevent binge eating.
