From chocolate to avocado, there are foods that are powerful aphrodisiacs and, when combined to create delicious and sexy desserts, you will have trouble keeping your hands off each other come Valentine’s Day.
Aphrodisiac ingredients perfect for desserts
Almonds
Almonds have long been considered a symbol for birth and fertility. It is said that the scent of almonds can arouse a woman. Add this to your dessert and you are sure to be aroused. Almonds are also high in vitamin E, magnesium and fibre.
Avocados
Avocados are high in folic acid which increases histamine in the body; this process is necessary in order for both men and women to orgasm. Avocado also contains vitamin E which helps produce hormones like testerone and oestrogen which help stimulate the body during sex.
Banana
A phallic symbol if we ever saw one, the banana contains minerals and enzymes that enhance the male libido.
Figs
Just by looking at this fruit, you can tell it has some sort of arousing qualities and is said to resemble a woman’s genitalia.
Chillies
Capsaicin, a chemical found in fiery peppers, increases circulation to get blood pumping and stimulates nerve endings so you’ll feel more turned on.
Cacao
Pure chocolate, the most powerful of aphrodisiacs. Chocolate contains what is known as the feel-good chemical anandamide and phenylethylamine (PEA), the love chemical. These two combined make for some seriously happy brain connections which go off during an orgasm.
