Proposing to the woman (or man) of your dreams can be a stressful occasion because it’s something you want to get just right.

Imgur user Justinlebon26 wanted to make his proposal an unforgettable experience so he decided to make his lady, Michal, a special gift inspired by her favourite board game, Monopoly.

The groom-to-be, assisted by his good friend Mark Becker, decided to design his own romantic version of the game. They used Microsoft Excel to make the property cards — with one of the Chance cards asking “Will you marry me?” — and using old redwood from an early 1900s ice box to carve the game.

Mind blown already? It only gets better…

All of the places on the board have a special meaning for the couple: they met on Match.com, they had their first date at First Street Alehouse and The Westin Hotels are on the board in the order in which they stayed in them. Plus there’s a whole lot of other places that are home to special memories. Impressive right?

If the lucky lady said “yes” to the Chance card proposal she then had to head to the “luxury tax” position on the board, which was complete with a secret trap door and a very impressive diamond sparkler.

Speaking of the special moment, which took place one Christmas morning, Justinlebon26 wrote, “After michal quickly moved her piece to luxury tax I got down on one knee and poured my heart out. I said everything I wanted to say and took my time. It was great. Then I reach down into my pocket and pulled out… A long Wire key. Michal had gone through a lot at this point and was still trying to put it all together. I asked her if she would marry me. She said yes. I asked if she wanted to see something really cool. She nodded her head up and down. I took the wire key and popped open a secret door underneath the luxury tax…” (sic)

He continued, “She could not believe the lengths I had gone to. I took the ring out and slipped in on her finger. It fit perfect too.” (sic)

Could this be the greatest proposal ever? The pressure is definitely on, people.
