Actress Mo’Nique has raised a few eyebrows with her latest interview.
The Precious actress told True Exclusives that relationships are all about being honest and that she doesn’t understand why both women and men say they’ll keep things from their spouses.

“So I think those long-lasting things is simply honesty and communication. It’s got to be your best friend. You’re laying with this person every night. If you can’t tell that person how you feel, then you’re in a bad way,” she said of being open and honest with your partner, even if that means admitting feelings for other people and, yes, cheating.
“Oftentimes, people cheat because of something they’re not getting. But when you have open and honest dialogue, and you say we’re just human beings. And all these people on the face of the Earth, do you think my eyes won’t ever say ‘he’s fine’ or ‘she’s attractive’?”

The actress added that cheating being the end of a relationship is a “Western” notion, but in Africa men had more than one wife.
“And when you say ‘a pass to cheat’ — see, when you’re with your best friend and you say to your best friend: ‘I’m having these feelings about this person, sexually, and I want to share it with you.’ When you’re best friends, you can have those open and honest conversations,” she said
Her point about honesty does make a lot of sense, but I counter that if a relationship is “missing something,” it should be remedied within the relationship, not by getting a free ticket to CheaterVille.

And I’m not the only one.
“I found myself lusting after Karl. In boring meetings I would fantasize about what he looked like under the pinstriped suits, and all the things I wanted to do to him once I got him naked,” one woman told SheKnows of why she thought about having an affair.
But instead of cheating, she “got a babysitter for the kids and did all the things I wanted to do to Karl to my husband!”
