I noticed something exciting over the holidays. My Facebook feed was filled with people trying out their new Fitbits and Apple Watches.
Their goal, of course, is to get at least a bit more mindful about health in 2016 and I’ll always support that. For me, though, I’ve found that I just don’t like wearable fitness trackers. Maybe it’s just because I don’t like something about my wrists, but I can never bring myself to wear them for more than a few days a time.

That’s why I was so excited to hear about a new sports bra that does everything those heart rate monitors do — and more.
The OMbra uses the OMrun platform that is integrated into the material of the bra and measures fitness metrics like heart rate, distance and calories burned. It then immediately reports it back to an app that allows the wearer to measure training progress over time and compare their fitness to others in their age group.
Unlike other fitness trackers, the OMbra also gives guidance on breathing, along with a gauge that measures cumulative fatigue by assessing heart rate before, during and after a workout.

Now for the most important part: comfort. The bra is made from a stretchable fabric made from polyester, nylon and elastane, which allows it to shape to a woman’s body and reduces stress on the back and shoulders.
“The evolution and growth of the OMbra came to fruition through exhaustive scientific research, ensuring that only the most sophisticated and premium of sports bras was built,” the company said in a statement.
“A great deal of our research was focused on biomechanics (the study of the mechanical aspects of human exercise) and support.”
In English: It’ll tell you everything you need to know about your health during workouts, plus it looks pretty cute.

The bra will be available in the spring for $149. A little steep, but not too bad when you consider it’s a two-in-one product. No more need for fitness trackers.
