Beyoncé wants you to drink this for health, but it’s not lemonade

Everyone is still guzzling Beyoncé’s Lemonade, but she’s hoping you’ll at least work in another drink once in a while.

The woman behind your new favorite album just announced a partnership with WTRMLN WTR, a beverage brand that offers — what else? — watermelon water.

WTRMLN WTR is marketed as a wellness drink that’s even healthier than coconut water — and tastes much better, too.

“I invested in WTRMLN WTR because it’s the future of clean, natural hydration; as partners, we share a simple mission to deliver accessible wellness to the world,” said Beyoncé in a statement. “This is more than an investment in a brand, it’s an investment in female leaders, fitness, American farmers, and the health of people and our planet.”

We love the message, but can a drink made out of the summertime fruit really help that much? Well, it can’t hurt: Watermelon is full of vitamin C, potassium, lycopene and beta-carotene, along with citrulline, a precursor to the amino acid arginine that helps with inflammation and muscle recovery. Also, the makers behind WTRMLN WTR only use “watermelon waste” — AKA dented melons that aren’t good enough to make it in the big leagues.

It might not taste as good as lemonade, but it’s a whole lot healthier.
