Since the election in November, a lot of people are worried about the future and how they’ll fit into Trump’s America. Inflammatory rhetoric trying to further marginalize women, people of color, the LGBTQ community, immigrants and people with disabilities has left people feeling alone.
The thing is, you’re not alone. In fact, a lot of us (some may even say a popular majority of the electorate) are concerned our interests won’t be represented starting on Jan. 20, 2017. Here are eight organizations who will continue to fight for you, ensuring that #HopeTrumpsHate, regardless of who lives (part-time) in the White House.
1. American Civil Liberties Union
Founded in 1920, the ACLU is committed to defending your Constitutional rights throughout the next presidential administration.

2. Human Rights Campaign
The HRC (not to be confused with a certain winner of the popular vote with the same initials) fights for equal treatment of the LGBTQ community.

The Transgender Law Center — which recently published the largest study on transgender Americans — ensures that we are able to live safe, authentic lives regardless of gender identity.

Color of Change encompasses campaigns to end practices that unfairly hold the black community back.

This organization encourages white people to join the movement for racial justice.

This network advocates for people with disabilities.
