‘What Planet Can I Blame for This?’ Your Guide to Astrology & the Vibes for November 2022

Ah, November, also known as the darkest time of year, thanks to daylight saving time and the intensity of Scorpio season. But good news – it’s not all doom and gloom for the next 30 days. Eclipse season wraps up on November 8th with the full moon and lunar eclipse in Taurus, and while, yes, eclipses are typically emotional and overwhelming AF, astrologer Desiree Roby Antila, author of Sun Signs in Love, says this one is going to help us make necessary changes in our lives sooner rather than later.

“This Full Beaver Moon is met with a powerful total lunar eclipse that is sure to bring us all a shift we did not know we needed,” she tells SheKnows. “This rare total eclipse will have us making decisions more swiftly than we prefer, and you may discover something that needs attention before we enter into this next season. However, if you lean into the magic of the chaos of this obscure energy, marvelous things can become evident. Let go and let what may come just be.”

In fact, change might be the theme of November as we gallop into a very Sagittarius month with Venus, Mercury, a New Moon and Sun entering the bold and intrepid sign this month. Learn more about November’s cosmic transits below.

Time to shoot your shot in love

On November 16, Venus, the planet of love,  enters Sagittarius, which will add some heat in the love department, which might surprise you. “Honest admissions will be bubbling up throughout this transit either making or breaking love,” Antila says. “However, shifting in and out of love will seem more effortless as the idealistic vibes are dripping in optimism. Sagittarius is a firm believer in the fact that you miss all the shots you don’t take, so take lots of them.”

Honesty is the best policy

When Mercury, the planet of communication, enters Sagittarius, Antila warns that we’re in for some blunt conversations. “Mercury is said to be in fall here, because let’s be honest – Sag has no filter. However, it does allow us to become more open minded and optimistic in our thoughts. Not to mention, things get comical during this transit, so try to have a thick skin and make the best of this time.”

Time to broaden your horizons

As the Sun gusts into guileless Sagittarius on November 22, Antila says the horizon begins to broaden, making it a great time to expand yourself both physically and philosophically. “During Sag season, both Jupiter and Neptune move direct giving us some more forward motion,” she explains. “Sagittarius energy is all about learning new things and opening our minds to learn something new. Traveling or planning travel will be at the top of everyone’s list as the new year and holiday season approaches. Use the optimism of the Archer’s energy to make your next fearless move. Adventure awaits.”

Don’t forget to explore your biggest dreams

On November 23, there’s a New Moon in Sag, which, according to Antila, will create a bridge between any divides we wish to travel over. “Only a few minutes after the New Moon is exact, Jupiter goes direct in Pisces creating an expansive energy of forward motion,” she says. “Use this as a time to set huge goals that you can achieve by the Sagittarius Full Moon in June. Challenge yourself to take a new approach and do it with an optimistic attitude to maximize your success. Expanding your horizons to travel across new territory is what this lunar energy is calling for.”

Get lost in the beauty around you

Also on November 23, Jupiter, the planet of healing, growth, prosperity and miracles, goes direct after a four-month retrograde. This event, says Antila, will be a “wake up call” for the collective.

Since July 28, Jupiter has been reversing through both Aries and Pisces which has gifted us time to review topics that needed healing,” she says. “Jupiter will travel forward through its domicile of Pisces one more time, potentially gifting us with the beauty we had hoped for but did not get while it was there previously. Use the next four weeks to soak this energy in because it will not be back in Pisces for another twelve years. Use this transit for its magic, music, and mystic properties before it reappears in Aries on December 20.”
