What’s HOT: Taking a life-long approach to health and fitness.

What’s NOT: Taking the crash diet over-exercise approach whenever you can’t zip up your pants.

According to Lauren Lorenzo, owner and director of training and operations of Operation Boot Camp North America, the focus in fitness is lower impact exercise, such as water-based workouts and spinning classes, and the use of the BOSU, Core Board and TRX Training System to strengthen the entire body while
improving stability, flexibility and balance. She says, “These training systems and workouts focus on functional movement that is meant to build a person’s strength from the core out. The focus
is placed on building joint integrity, strengthening the postural muscles and proper biomechanics, which aid in circulation, breathing and [physical] stability for a life-long approach to
fitness.” (Bad news: Your quick-fix approach to getting back into your pants is going to increasingly get harder as you age – now is the time to either make fitness part of your lifestyle…or
buy yourself a pair of fat pants.)
