The beauty of women: How men and women define beauty differently

What men find beautiful in women isn’t always what women find beautiful in themselves. In fact, mens’ perceptions go far beyond just the physical. A great personality, confidence and a positive attitude are just some of the things men find attractive in a woman. That means that just being yourself is beautiful. Here are few ideas — from both men and women — on what feminine beauty really is.

Defining beauty

“Beauty is always about confidence and feeling comfortable in your own skin. A ‘beautiful’ girl or guy in her or his 20s who is insecure about every little detail starts to become less desirable than a person of average beauty who has that confidence beaming from within.” —Diane Aiello

“A girl who is confident, feminine, has a good sense of style, takes care of herself physically and has a sense of humor is beautiful. She doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist, but has to be able to hold a conversation outside of the tabloids.” —Shane McKinnon

“A genuine smile is always beautiful, because it means that the person is sincere.” —Nick Everson

“Beauty in a woman? Class. Fashion. Comedy. Wit. Talent. Intelligence.” —Adrian Betti

“A sincere and nurturing nature can make any woman beautiful. Also, a sly sense of humor is good.” —Kevin Wehner

“When all my ducks are in a row, relationships are thriving, I have a smile on my face, and I have a natural pride of carriage. New clothes, makeup and hair cut/color always do the trick, too!” —Morgan Alexander

“Beauty is from within, and a woman who is truly a beautiful person looks great just hanging out and being herself in a pair of gray sweatpants and no makeup on.” —Freddie DeJesus
