What He Wants: Q&A with the guys

Q: What’s your ideal first date?

Jason says:

Sushi. You get to see how delicately she can or cannot eat. Plus, sake and cold beers are great icebreakers…

Rob says:

I like to mix it up. I hate the traditional “let’s grab a drink/dinner” date. I’m an active, outdoorsy person, so I like to suggest a date where we’re doing something
fun, say a bike ride or even a walk through the neighborhood. Living in the city offers so many options in terms of places to go. A live show is always a solid bet, too.

Leo: Sharing drinks looking
over the New York skyline. I’m very casual. My first date, I would love to learn all about the girl in a really nice setting. I feel fancy dinners and really expensive outings take a lot of
fun out of a potential first date — too many expectations.

Q: Do you believe in that concept of “the one”?

Mike says:

I once read somewhere that you don’t want to find a girl who you think will love you for the rest of her life. But when you find a girl that makes you say, “I want to love that person for the rest
of my life,” that is when I know that’s who I want to be with.

Loren says:

You can’t change faith. It’s going to be there no matter what, so don’t rush it, don’t take it too slow – just go with the flow.

Corneliu says:

I don’t believe in “the one” necessarily, but it’s kind of where you are in your life. It’s being able to recognize what it is you want out of a relationship, and being able to give that to the
relationship in order to have it be reciprocated.

Q: Why do you think the beautiful and successful are so darn foolish when it comes to dating?

Jason says:

Success comes with looking for the next big thing, looking for the “greener” grass if you will. Beauty comes with people throwing themselves at you. How can you settle when you want to find the
best and with so many people throwing themselves at you?

Rob says:

That’s a good question. Maybe they expect people to approach them, or when it comes to dating, they don’t want to put in a lot of work.

Leo: I think
the beautiful get what they want. They are allowed to do just that. If you want a mansion with 18 bathrooms and can afford it, it’s not a foolish thing at all, even if you’re the only
person moving in. You just have to know what you’re getting into.

Q: What’s the ugliest truth about your dating history?

Jason says:

The ugly truth is that finding a girl is easy. Getting a number is easy. Finding a date is easy. Finding someone to spend more than two hours with is hard — unless you get blind drunk with them.
Then you keep forgetting everything you say, everything they say, and it is all fresh and new after every third José shot.

Rob says:

I think sometimes I don’t give girls who don’t fit my initial profile a chance.

Leo says:

You are what you appear as! If you’re dressed as a ho, you will be treated as one. If you are dressed as a flirty single, you’re going to be hit on. If your boobs are hanging out, we men will look
and think you’re trying to get attention and maybe sex.
