Here at SheKnows we’re Etsy-obsessed. You never know what fabulous treasures you’re going to find while browsing this online marketplace filled with what seems like an endless stream of handcrafted, artisanal items. Since it’s wedding season, we wanted to see what Etsy had in store for anyone tying the knot this year and we were overwhelmed with swoon-worthy items. Here are a few of our favorites.
Custom bridesmaid clutchesWe love the simplicity of these elegant silk clutches ($20), which can be customized in the color of your choice. Each beautiful bag is made from beautifully textured silk and closes with either a dark wood or silk covered button. For an additional $3 to $6 (depending on length), add a hand embroidered inscription to each clutch – a message to your bridesmaids or just their initials. |
Wooden wedding cake toppersJust try not to swoon when you see these custom wedding cake toppers ($56) made from natural wood pegs. The hand painted wood dolls are fully customizable – eye color, hair color, dress details, etc. and Etsy seller CreativeButterflyXOX will create miniatures of you and your hubby-to-be, right down to the color of your fiancé’s tie. So cute! |
Guestbook note cardsInstead of simply leaving out a guestbook for your friends and family to sign, we think these adorable note cards ($20 for a set of 25) are a much better option. The cute envelopes are labeled “To the Bride & Groom” and guests can write personal notes or congratulations for the happy couple to read privately. Let’s face it – a book full of signatures is much less interesting than having cards where guests have written out longer, more personal messages. |
Monogram bridesmaid necklacesShow your girls how much you care with a beautiful silver necklace hand stamped with their initials ($220 for set of five). Each charming, vintage-inspired pendant comes on either a sterling silver bead chain or cable chain and makes a great way to say thank you to your bridesmaids for being a part of your big day. They also come in sets of three or four. |
Directional signWelcome guests to your wedding in style (and make sure they know where they’re going) with this rustic wooden three layer sign ($70). Each handpainted sign is made from reclaimed wood (in this case old barn board) and font style and color are both completely customizable. Place the sign where guests will see it and allow it to point them in the right direction in a quaint and personalized way. |
Compass place cardsWe can’t resist these ornate compass place cards – perfect for a nautical or beach themed event, but equally fabulous on any wedding table ($10 each). While pricey for a larger affair, they make a delightful addition to a smaller wedding. Each brass compass comes with a hand-lettered note in the lid indicating the guest’s name and table number. |
