When most of us go to buy sex toys, we shop options crafted from silicone and rubber. These materials are supple enough to feel comfortable, sturdy enough to last a while, and—perhaps most importantly—affordable enough to score at budget-friendly price points. But they’re not the only options out there, and they can’t do everything that sex toys crafted from other materials can. Glass sex toys, for example, offer use cases silicone and rubber options simply can’t replicate. Even better: They’re ridiculously easy to clean and incredibly pretty to look at — and they tend to be priced fairly affordably, too.
Very few of us would refer to our go-to sex toys as “cute.” But spend a little time perusing the internet’s glass sex toy selection, and you’ll realize sex toys can be cute and they can also be downright beautiful. Glass sex toys tend to feature subtle curves, delicate colors, and dynamic textures that leave them looking like veritable works of art. Most sex toys ask to be hidden inside a drawer where no one will ever find them, but glass sex toys are so stunning they practically demand an audience. (Seriously, don’t be surprised if you find yourself as tempted to stare at your favorite glass dildo as you are to use it.)
Of course, looks aren’t the only thing glass sex toys have to offer. Since they’re thick and sturdy, they tend to be pretty durable (read: long-lasting). So once you find one you love, you won’t have to worry about replacing it after a couple years of use. The material is also generally hypoallergenic and easy to clean, and it pairs well with just about every lube on the market. While you have to worry about silicone-based lubes degrading silicone-based toys, you’d be hard-pressed to find a lube that can erode glass.
Glass sex toys’ biggest selling point, though, is that they lend themselves well to temperature play. You can heat them with hot water or chill them in your fridge to experiment with variously warm and cool sensations. Most of us have grown accustomed to the idea that sex toys operate at one temperature—room temperature—but glass sex toys open up entire worlds of stimulation we had no idea it was possible to achieve. No, they won’t replace your favorite vibrator (they’re not electronic, so they can’t vibrate). But they can make a useful addition to your sex toy repertoire—offering you things other toys simply can’t.

Icicles Pink Glass Beaded Probe
This pink glass dildo is so pretty it looks like a fairy princess’s wand — and it delivers sensations so incredible you might actually think it’s magical. Though this curved toy was crafted with anal play in mind, it can lend itself just as well to vaginal penetration. Simply insert the toy, bubble by bubble, until you’ve reached the depth and girth you’re looking for.
Firefly Tapered Glass Plug
The Firefly Tapered Glass Plug is aptly named: Like a firefly, it literally glows in the dark. In addition to making things a little more visually interesting, this means the toy is easy to use with the lights on or off. Tapered and slim, this anal toy is veritably beginner-friendly, and you can cool it or warm it to add an extra dose of stimulation.
Pipedream Products Icicles Glass Massager
A bit of extra beauty added to the glass toy list, this one’s thick rose base makes for a an easy to grab and handle and pretty to watch experience.
Hamsa Glass Dildo
A double ended dildo designed to curve to hit the G-spot, this one comes in soothing earthy colors and is so stunning to stare at.
Purple Rose Nubby Glass Dildo
Crafted from pale pink and light violet glass, the Purple Rose Nubby Glass Dildo was bound to look beautiful. But paired with its ribbed texture, it’s not just pretty — it’s downright sensational. Play with the toy’s texture and experiment with its penchant for temperature play. Just be sure not to use this one anally.
(Before using a toy anally, you want to make sure it has a flared based—in other words, that it gets wider at the bottom. This keeps the toy from getting sucked inside your rectum during orgasm. So while a number of toys in this roundup can be used for anal and vaginal penetration, because this one doesn’t have a flared base, it should only be used vaginally.)
Glass Fairy Wand Dildo
It’s not uncommon for dildos to look like glass wands, but this one takes its commitment to the silhouette particularly seriously. Topped with a light pink glass moon (which, of course, doubles as a handle), the Glass Fairy Wand Dildo is easy to wield. And it promises all kinds of incredible sensations.
Ring Handle Glass Dildo
With its spiralized form and colorful center, the Ring Handle Glass Dildo is incredibly beautiful—and promises all kinds of textured stimulation. Though any glass sex toy is fun when warmed up or cooled down, the ridges on this one may make the sensations even more extreme. And the ring-shaped handle should make penetration (vaginal or anal) particularly easy to control.
Crystal Premium Glass Butt Plug
So pretty some might confuse it for a paperweight, the Crystal Premium Glass Butt Plug is worthy of a spot on your nightstand (if you’re feeling bold). Due to its girth, it’s not particularly beginner-friendly. So if you’re looking to experiment with anal play, consider strating with something a little more tapered—and then graduating to this transparent pink beauty.
Lovehoney Marbled Sensual Glass Prober
The Lovehoney Marbled Sensual Glass Prober is one of the prettiest around. With its curved shaft and pearlescent, “aurora borealis” finish, it shimmers, shines, and delights in equal measure. It also delivers the kinds of powerful sensations you’d expect from any dildo, making it a worthy addition to your collection.
Icicles Glass Dildo
Though the Icicles Glass Dildo doesn’t boast a particularly sleek silhouette, its vibrant pink color makes it worth starting at—for at least a little while. This flared-base toy is suited to both vaginal and anal play, and its textured shaft promises all kinds of dynamic fun.
Over Easy Glass Butt Plug
With its amber color and sleek silhouette, the Over Easy Glass Butt Plug is so pretty it’s almost mesmerizing. And the sensations it promises are equally intense. This mid-sized butt plug is a little thicker than more tapered options, but it’s still generally beginner-friendly. And its weighted base makes it easy to wield.
Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo Set
The Tracey Cox Supersex Glass Dildo Set comes with two veritably different glass dildos, making it a great choice for those who want to go all in on glass sex toys. The first option is smooth, pink and lined with textured ridges sure to deliver some seriously dynamic sensations. And the other is curved and bubbled, designed with targeted stimulation in mind. Both are lovely in their own ways, and each offers a distinct enough experience that the two-pack is worth the buy.
Chili Pepper Glass Dildo
Usually, sex toys shaped like food look overwhelmingly gimmicky. But this Chili Pepper Glass Dildo manages to look fun and elegant—and a little enticing, too. The toy’s narrow form lends itself well to beginner-friendly penetration, and its tapered tip should be excellent for targeted stimulation.
Octopussy Dildo
It’s hard to imagine a dildo shaped like a tentacle looking genuinely pretty, but Babeland’s Octopussy Dildo manages to pull it off. The curled tail acts as a handle, making the toy particularly easy to use. While its ribbed form offers all kinds of textured sensations. The result? A toy that’s pretty, intense, and just a little bit weird—a pretty solid combo, if you ask us.
Curved Glass Beaded Dildo
Iridescent and bubbly, Pink Cherry’s Curved Glass Beaded Dildo looks dreamy and inviting. And it promises to be incredibly intense. Designed with anal play in mind, the toy is meant to be inserted one bubble at a time—until you’ve reached the depth and girth of penetration you desire. (The first three bubbles are a little smaller and beginner-friendlier, while the next three are thicker and more intense.)
Fetish Fantasy Black Glass Ben Wa Balls
These sleek, black Ben Wa Balls prove that a glass sex toy doesn’t have to be colorful to be pretty. Use this pair of toys to strengthen your kegel muscles, or pop them in and go about your day—all the while enjoying the sensations that result each time you take a step. And remember, you can always heat them up or cool them down to add even more stimulation to the mix.
Don Wand Glass Pleasure Plug with Crank
With textured nubs, a decent size and a crank for added stimulation once inserted, this plug has a fun gimick that (when used carefully) can make for a creative and deeply entertaining/stimulating night.
