I Am Momma Hear Me Roar

I Am Momma Hear Me Roar blogger Cheri was prompted to update her master bedroom when she saw a diaper bag in the perfect color scheme. Using Chip It, Cheri was able to see where she wanted the color scheme in her room. Luckily for Cheri, she was able to upcycle a few doors given to her by her sister by painting them a bright yellow and using them as a headboard. Paired with teal lamps, a colorful gallery wall and updated curtains, Cheri’s master is an awesome summer sanctuary.

Get Cheri’s summer look by replacing a few photos in your wall gallery with bright patterns. Throw a couple of bright pillows to match your color scheme and voila! Your bedroom is summer ready. We like Target’s yellow, gray and blue striped pillows for an instant update for the hot months in your home.
A Beach Cottage

Living in Sydney, Australia, Sarah from a Beach Cottage decorated her bedroom to reflect the white hot style of the beach. Leaving the walls white, Sarah added white linens, furniture and even curtains. To avoid bland and boring, Sarah mixed patterns and textures by using ruffles in the curtains and layering pleated and pintucked comforters on the bed. Mixing in beige-hued accent colors and pink flowers on the nightstand, Sarah added in the perfect mix of color accents. We love the beachy style of this all-white summer bedroom.

Steal Sarah’s look by whiting out your bedroom. Like Sarah, make sure to add on various textures and prints to avoid white-out bland. We suggest West Elm’s pintuck duvet in white to get your summer bedroom started ($55-$99).
Seaside Shelter

Dani from Seaside Shelter updated her cottage master bedroom to reflect the seaside vibe that she and her family love. Equipped with a patterned navy-hued DIY headboard and kelly green end tables, this summer styled bedroom uses a color scheme that’s hot! The gold stenciled accent wall helps make this cottage master bedroom the perfect room to rest sand-filled toes and bronzed skin.

Make your master look like Dani’s by updating your master bedding with a navy and white comforter set. Avoid going too matchy by choosing a headboard with a similar funky style. We like the striped look of Horchow’s cabana style headboard ($799-$899).
