One of the best parts of picking out a new color for your home is looking at the silly paint color names. From flat-out weird to wacky, these paint hues take the cake in the odd name and color department.

Atomic vomit green

The color may be made by Nickelodeon and meant for a kid’s room rather than somewhere in your decor, but the name sounds less than appetizing. Not to mention, atomic vomit green truly does have a similar hue to vomit, hence making it something better left in the toilet rather than on your walls.
Emotional

Sherwin-Williams must love naming their paint after human feelings, as they named this burnt orangish- red Emotional. And boy, does it make you just that. Looking appropriate only if you have a Southwestern decor scheme, it will make you far too emotional if it’s put on your walls.
High strung

Sherwin-Willams’ High Strung makes you just that. Looking like something that spilled out of the 1970s, it is guaranteed to give you a high level of anxiety.
Mac and cheese

Mac and cheese is a delicious comfort food, but painted on your walls? Not so much. An orangey-yellow that is true to its name, although not very appetizing, mac and cheese is best on the plate and in your tummy.
Intoxication

It is better to be drunk off of love than it is to be intoxicated over this awkward shade of green. If you paint this dizzying and odd hue on your walls, you may feel a bit buzzed from looking at it too long.
Freckles

At first, Freckles sounds like an endearing and cutesy shade. And then you look at it again. Not looking anything like the color of a real human freckle, this salmon shade from Valspar is a bit too much if used even as an accent color.
Tippy toes

The name Tippy Toes is inspired by little girls in ballet shoes, but let’s be honest, it sounds more like wiggly pink baby toes than anything. A bit too pink and too human in name, this color is best left in the ballet studio.
Lady finger

Meant to be named after the dessert, the paint color Lady Finger is a bit too similar to the color of an actual finger to be desirable. Leave this tan from the home decor days of the past on the dessert table rather than the walls.

Not only does Fish Market sound gross, it also looks a little fishy. Looking like the murky waters of a river, this color is not at all appealing.
