The glass tree house is what your childhood dreams were made of

Your childhood dreams have officially come true. Not only can you live your everyday life in a tree house, you can do so in glass! And don’t worry mama, we won’t be throwing any sticks and stones.

Recently sold for $3.5 million, this Tennessee home was the concept of a local couple who was inspired by the lush landscape. Believing that the home may not come to fruition due to the hillside landscaping, the couple proved themselves and everyone else wrong when they were able to uproot their dream home.

Appearing as though it is an actual tree house, the glass designed home actually uses a design that fools us into believing in our childhood dreams. The triangular, cantilevered design, glass wall additions and amplitude of skylights give off the feeling of being inside and outside of a real, live tree house.

Coming in at 7,000 square feet, the five-level home is a true architectural masterpiece. Not only does nearly every room in the home give views to the beautiful outdoors surrounding the exterior, some views also allow the owner to see downtown Nashville in the winter months. And as if that couldn’t sound any more amazing, the home comes equipped with a two-level living room (two!), bedroom/library combination (pretty much the best marriage to take place in a home, ever!), dance/gym studio, sun room, floor-to-ceiling hallway and more. To top it off, the first level of the home offers up an elevator , hot tub and swing. Now that’s an entryway I could get used to coming home to!

Could this tree house get any more perfect? We think not. Check out the photos and let us know what your favorite part is of this lavish home!
