Decorating Diva: Six stylish fall decor finds for under $30

by

Welcome to Decorating Diva, where every week we share fresh, fun ways to update your home and spice up your living space! Decor accessories are a great way to update your home without having to make drastic changes, but they can get expensive. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up some stylish finds that won’t break the bank — in fact, they’re all under $30! Read on for some seasonal decor inspiration that will keep your wallet happy and your home looking great. We even included a few no-cost ways to decorate your space this season.

Beet jar

Nothing says fall like a bunch of ruby-red beets bursting with color and flavor. That’s why we couldn’t take our eyes off of this charming earthenware jar in the shape of fresh-picked beets (Anthropologie, $16). The combination of rich raspberry hues and earthy green shades makes this piece an eye-catching addition to your kitchen countertop this season.

Chalkboard candlepots

Add some seasonal scent to your space with a fruit-scented soy wax candle in a whimsical pot that allows you to write and draw right on the ceramic exterior (West Elm, $25). Each cute candle can easily be personalized with doodles, names (a fun alternative to place cards) or numbers (for a birthday perhaps?). Choose from three scents – vanilla fig, Ramsey apple and cucumber citrus.

Mercury glass bud vases

Sometime a single bloom can be just as elegant and decorative as a full bouquet. Add a pretty flower in a festive fall color to these silvery mercury glass vases (Pottery Barn, $16 for a set of two). Perfect for autumn but equally suited to the holidays, these flared and bulb-shaped bud vases make a stylish addition to any surface.

Leaf plate

Use this ornate leaf plate to display candles or other small decor items, put it to work as a pretty piece of serveware or simply leave as is to shine on its own (Crate & Barrel, $8). Each handcrafted aluminum piece has an antiqued bronze finish for rich, fall-inspired color. The natural-looking leaf detailing adds to the intricate nature of this home accent.

Branch hooks

Create more space for errant coats and jackets with these fall-inspired branch hooks (Urban Outfitters, $20 for set of two). They come in white or antique brass and make a playful yet seasonal addition to any room in the house, from the entryway to the bathroom.

Ceramic fruit and vegetables

Add some interest to your countertop, coffee table or even line a windowsill with these detailed ceramic fruit and vegetables (Williams-Sonoma, $10 each). The porcelain produce makes a great autumn addition to your home, especially the apple, fig and pomegranate. We especially like the idea of gathering a few and displaying them in a basket or wooden bowl.

No-cost fall decor tips

Use what’s outside: Gather pine cones, acorns, branches and anything else that breathes “fall” to you and bring it indoors. Create displays using what you found for some whimsical fall and winter decor. Better yet, get your kids to help you hunt!

Get out the blankets: Even mismatched throws and blankets look great neatly folded and stacked on a stool or chair, or in front of the fireplace. Just seeing a pile of warm, cozy blankets makes us think of fall.

Light it up: Candles reflect the warm, cozy season and create a festive ambiance in groups or used as a centerpiece. Get out all of your candles, whatever the shape or size, and find spots for them around the house.

Display seasonal produce: We included some pretty ceramic fruits and vegetables in our decor roundup, but why not also use the real thing to perk up your kitchen? A glass bowl brimming with ripe pomegranates or a basket of apples makes for a beautiful (and edible) fall-inspired display.
