Welcome to Decorating Diva, where every week we share fresh, fun ways to update your home and spice up your living space! Thanksgiving is around the corner. Get ready for it with our picks for harvest-inspired accessories that will easily enhance your holiday decorations.
Harvest home accents
Eight harvest-inspired accents we’re loving for Thanksgiving.
Harvest garland
When we think of garlands, we often think of Christmas, but they don’t always have to be red and green. This vibrant harvest-inspired garland adds a touch of fall flair anywhere you place it ($198). We suggest winding it around a stair rail for maximum visual impact.
Terra-cotta cornucopia
Create a bountiful Thanksgiving centerpiece by filling this terra-cotta cornucopia cast in white with miniature gourds and pumpkins or an array of pinecones and acorns ($39). While it would look great as a part of your Thanksgiving tablescape, you could also display on your mantel or even a coffee table.
Turkey platter
Gobble, gobble. It’s time to talk turkey, and we’ll be serving up our bird on this decorative stoneware platter awash with Thanksgiving imagery: fruits, vegetables and of course, the main attraction himself, a turkey ($79). If your bird’s too big, this would make a great serving dish for any holiday favorite.
Pumpkin lanterns
Think pumpkins are just for Halloween? Think again. We recently came across these pretty pierced pumpkin lanterns perfect for adding a warm glow to any room ($225 to $296). The rustic metal accents would work well in an entryway to create a stylish welcome for holiday guests.
Table runner
Build a festive base for your Thanksgiving table by starting with an autumn-inspired table runner ($100). Fall-hued botanicals are embroidered on natural linen for a pop of seasonal color. We suggest choosing a color from the runner for your tableware to really bring your Thanksgiving dinner look together.
Faux oak wreath
Don’t forget about the outside of your home when it comes to decorating for Thanksgiving. We fell immediately for this faux pin oak wreath in an array of fall colors ($79 to $149). The welcoming harvest accent features faux leaves set amid real twigs for a natural look. Add some green, red or silver ribbon to take the wreath into December.
Owl hurricane candle holder
Add a sense of fun and whimsy to your Thanksgiving decorations by placing a few of these quirky owl hurricanes in a fall-ready shade of amber on your mantel or holiday table ($16). The mouth-blown glass candle holders are designed with a retro twist we love.
Give thanks wall decal
It’s easy to forget the true meaning of Thanksgiving as we dig into all the delicious goodies, but this cute wall decal with the message “Give Thanks” is a prefect reminder ($29). Put it up by the table or even in the entryway for everyone to see.
