Gladys Knight’s DWTS prize is 60-pound weight loss

Gladys Knight may be going home from Dancing With the Stars empty handed, but a shot at the Mirrorball trophy isn’t all she’s lost! The recently eliminated contestant now weighs in at 60 pounds lighter than before the toe-tapping began.

Gladys Knight and pro partner Tristan MacManus are out of the race for Dancing With the Stars‘ Mirrorball trophy. Despite the elimination, there’s still plenty to celebrate for the 67-year-old singer.

“I’m feeling great, I really am,” Gladys Knight told E! News just moments after losing a dance duel to Roshon Fegan on Tuesday’s DWTS elimination show. “I live my life that way. So whatever will be, will be. If it was my path to still be here, I would be here. This was a great time to come over here and do this for a month and a half.”

Though her bid for the Mirrorball trophy was cut short, the singer can now brag about being among the shows biggest losers — in the weight loss category, that is. Shedding 60 pounds over the course of her Dancing With the Stars run, Gladys Knight ranks among the show’s greatest body transformation stories!

“I feel amazing and I really think when you lose that much weight, if you’re not active, it can take a different toll on you,” Knight said of her weight loss.

“This particular activity of coming to DWTS kept me where I should be, so I can be a healthy weight-loss person. You need to move it! My doctor said to get back to tennis because I stopped. I was so busy and he said, ‘Get back to moving.’ And when he saw me on DWTS he said, ‘I said get moving, not jump in with both feet!'”

“I’m going to keep Tristan,” the 67-year-old joked to Us Weekly of her pro partner, pictured above. “He can come over and work me out.”

Congratulations to Gladys Knight on her 60-pound weight loss!
