Hey blogger, show me your summer bathroom

Get beachy this summer with these three blogger-decorated bathrooms. Fun, inspiring and relaxing, your bathroom will likely become your new vacation hot spot in your home.

Beautiful Habitat

Tennille Wood, an international interior designer and owner of the company Beautiful Habitat, completed this beach-theme bathroom makeover. Replacing the stock vanity lights with buckets, Tennille kept it simple by adding beach-colored towels and polka-dot flowerpots. Staying with her color theme of coastal blue, sunny yellow and lime green, she added a cutesy tissue holder and framed photo of a palm tree to the toilet area. We love the metal backdrop that pairs well with the bucket vanity.

Copy Tennille’s beach style by updating small accents in your bathroom space. Replace bathroom accessories with beach colors and add simple details to make a big statement. Use your own beach buckets, like these teal-hued pails from Oriental Trading ($9 per dozen), to hold hand towels or as a cute trash can.

See Shells Space

For under $30, Shelly from See Shells Space was able to update her space into a complete beach bum bathroom. Using some wood, Shelly added a great bright-colored valance above her window, a few hanging shelves, a surfboard and beach signs to her bathroom. Making a shower curtain with a sheet from Target, Shelly painted lime green stripes on it to match her beach fun decor. We love the relaxed feel of this beach bathroom getaway.

Create a beachy bathroom of your own by creating a similar wood valance. Low in cost and high in decor, this valance will add instant color for a beach shack vibe. Add a wood sign like this shower room board from Pottery Barn ($49).

My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia

Kristin from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia turned her outdated boys’ duck-theme bathroom into a modern space using a summer-inspired beach theme. Keeping her walls neutral, Kristin painted the bathroom cabinets a nautical blue. With simple summer additions like a sand-filled Mason jar and candle, a paddle in the corner and a beach sign above the door, Kristin’s beach bathroom is a sure hit in any house.

Get Kristin’s modern beach bathroom by adding light blue and white to your bathroom. For extra summer style, use beach-inspired lanterns for light fixtures and decor, but don’t forget to add the sand for a beachy feel. Top it off with a large statement item like this wood oar ($29-$109) or oversized anchor ($129) from Pottery Barn.
