Friday’s Fashion Obsessions: Blake Lively and Zendaya

Blake Lively and Zendaya’s beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We’re telling you why in this week’s installment of Friday’s Fashion Obsessions.

Blake Lively

Look up the word hot in the dictionary and you’ll probably find a picture of Blake Lively. Mrs. Ryan Reynolds showed up to the NYC premiere of her hubby’s new flick, Turbo, in this simple-meets-sexy ensemble that really caught my eye.

Blake has that laid-back, beachy look that all women covet, and she sure knows how to look hot without trying too hard. Exhibit A: Here, she paired a casual gray tank with the sexiest pencil skirt I’ve ever seen. The bejeweled skirt hugs her body so well and shows off Blake’s curves while still leaving something to the imagination. I will say I’m not digging the super sheer tank, but hey, when you’ve got a body like Blake’s, you might as well show it off, right?

The final verdict? I’ll say it again and again, but ladies, sometimes less really is more. Take a super casual staple like a simple tank and pair it with a blingy skirt and I’m sure you’ll turn your man’s head too! Pair the look with tousled, textured waves and glowing makeup and you’re good to go.

Zendaya

Last week, I gushed over Jamie Chung’s super cool street style, and this week I’m giving Disney star Zendaya a style shout-out for her fun, youthful red carpet look. The Shake it Up actress worked the press line at 7-Eleven’s 86th birthday party in this playful, summer-ready ensemble.

Balance is always the key to putting together a cute outfit, if you ask me. And Zendaya seems to have caught on to this crucial fact at a young age. She paired her patterned button down top with a crisp pair of white denim shorts and a matching vest and topped the look off with pink ankle strap peep toe heels. Sleek locks and sunny skin provided a simple beauty look so Zendaya’s creative combo could take center stage.

The final verdict? Want to make an impact with your style but don’t want to show too much skin? There’s nothing wrong with mixing and matching lengths, like shorts and long sleeve tops, in the summer. In fact, you can class up your look a bit by doing so!
