When a dog cocks her head to the side after hearing an unfamiliar noise, she’s most likely focusing on listening to the noise. Since dogs’ hearing is over 1,000 times more sensitive than our own, a loud and unfamiliar noise will easily catch their attention. Cocking her head allows your dog to focus, listen and pay attention to where the noise is coming from.
