Bloggers share their favorite summer decor pieces

This summer there are some amazing summer decor pieces created by fabulous craft and DIY bloggers! So we are thrilled to be able to show off a few blogger favorite DIY summer decor pieces.

Becoming Martha took a previously-used tray and these amazing vintage yardsticks she collected from an old abandoned farm house (no joke!) to create a beautiful, up-cycled and recycled spring green serving tray! The amazing green-colored chalk paint and pretty vintage yardsticks turned this simple wooden serving tray into a stunning, bright and summery decoration that is not only pretty but also functional as well! This pretty spring green yardstick serving tray is stunning as decoration on a coffee table, but it would also be a beautiful tray for serving summer drinks or appetizers all summer long.

This fun DIY maritime banner will be sure to conjure up the smell of salt water and ocean air in your home. Well, maybe not, but it will sure bring the nautical feel of the sea into your home! Jessica of Dear Emmeline created this pretty DIY nautical garland specifically for her family. Using maritime flags to represent the letters in your name, you could easily create a similar-looking garland, customized for your own family with only a few simple supplies including fabric and paint. You may even have everything you need to recreate your own nautical garland already in your home. And the best part — no sewing required!

Creating your own decorative buoys is a great way to bring a nautical summer feel into your home, and you can easily learn how to make your own with this great tutorial from The Turquoise Home. Using weathered, worn wood (that she may have gotten from a neighbor’s trash can… with their permission, of course!), she carefully crafted these faux beach buoys for her home. With a few cuts of the wood and a little paint, she transformed her reclaimed wood into beautiful, beachy home decor, perfect for the summer season!

House by Hoff created this stunning starfish wreath that just screams summer! Using a straw wreath form, rope and a starfish, this pretty wreath came together during her daughter’s nap time, which makes this a super quick, very simple and also inexpensive summertime wreath! This would be very pretty displayed on your front door, but we also love the idea of letting it enhance the beauty inside your home as well. If you do chose to display it outdoors, bring it inside during bad weather so your starfish doesn’t get harmed.
