Friday’s Fashion Fails: Chelsea Handler and Jill Zarin

E! funnylady Chelsea Handler must have overslept and nearly missed her flight out of LAX airport. Why else would she wear this truly awful ensemble to catch a flight? Everyone knows LAX is full of photographers and clearly, Chelsea wasn’t ready for her close-up.

The bestselling author and host, who makes a living skewering other people on her show Chelsea Lately, wore this frumpy getup to fly the friendly skies. We totally understand wanting to be comfortable when you’re taking a long flight, but there are many ways to look both comfy and chic and this isn’t it.

Chelsea paired her collared shirt with what appear to be sweatpants and accessorized the hot mess of an outfit with a pillow. We think the shirt would have looked fine with skinny jeans and cute flats. Or she should try a maxi dress and denim jacket combo, which is easy and breezy.

The final verdict? Chelsea needs to upgrade her travel style. For a girl who writes books about all the crazy hookups she’s had, let’s just say that outfit probably won’t get her any invitations to the mile high club on her flight.

Poor Jill Zarin. First, she gets kicked off of TheReal Housewives of New Yorkand then she shows up at a fancy Hamptons soiree wearing a big blue potato sack as a dress. The former Bravo reality star hit Russell Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation 14th Annual Art for Life Benefit this weekend in this baggy blue mess.

The cobalt color on her frock is pretty but what’s up with the cut? The blousy sleeves and wide cut do nothing for her figure. If she added a belt to cinch in the waist, it would be a much more flattering silhouette. And those black lace-up ballet flats would be more appropriate for a dance class than a fancy Hamptons fundraiser.

The final verdict? Jill is in good shape for her age so she should wear clothes that she’s not swimming in. The only reason we can think that she chose those strange flats is that it seems like the party is outdoors and on a lawn, so maybe she thought high heels would make divots in the grass. But a cute pair of wedges would have looked much better.
