With so many great products to choose from, I opted for a two-in-one review for Palladio! Eye Ink is an innovative felt-tip pen that creates that bold line and the Shadow/Liner Crayon is a three-in-one cosmetic that’s great for any occasion.
One brand —
two reviews!
Name this product:
Palladio Eye Ink and Palladio Shadow and Liner Crayon (palladiobeauty.com, $6 each)
What the product claims to do:
I wanted to review this brand, since I’ve heard about it before and really wanted to disprove the theory “You get what you pay for.” The Eye Ink claims to be a revolution in cosmetics and has a felt tip that promises an effortless application that’s fast-drying with a color that won’t smudge. The Shadow and Liner Crayon is a three-in-one liner that “chills” when applied and offers an all-day cooling sensation.
How it worked for me:
The Eye Ink is a little tricky, to be honest. While I think the concept is really awesome, and I love the pocket feature (it’s small!), I also think you need to be extremely careful when applying. I actually loved this product. The Shadow and Liner was great as an eyeshadow!
How this product looks and feels:
Both products are the size of a marker in terms of thickness. The Eye Ink is a conveniently small stick the size of a pointer finger and the Crayon fits in the palm of your hand.
What I liked about this product:
I’ve never really used a pencil-type product as an eyeshadow, but I really loved the enhancing element and shimmer in the Crayon.
What I would change about this product:
Quite honestly, I would change the price point to a higher one to elevate the perception. Both products go on really well and last all day.
Describe the application process, how often you used the product and for how long:
As I mentioned, the Eye Ink has a tricky application process because it’s more intense than a regular eye pencil. It might take you a little bit of practice to get it right. The Crayon applied smoothly and with ease. I reviewed a pink color, which I opted to use as an eyeshadow, rather than the eye liner (since it’s often used as both).
I would recommend this product for:
The Eye Ink would be a great product for professional makeup artists and those who enjoy the art of putting on makeup. The Crayon is more for everyday wear and for women who do not have the tendency to get oily eyelids.
