Craving a taste of Europe but don’t quite have the money to go overseas? You can enjoy the same vibe without going too far. “Montreal offers many of the charming, romantic aspects of Europe for a fraction of the price,” Dimon says. “With horse-drawn carriages and old cobblestone streets, it’s a great solution for people craving a European getaway.” Throw in some great cafes and bars, shopping and restaurants (not to mention amazing bagels), you might forget all about Paris.

Rather than focus on pricier, better-known spots like Barcelona or Amsterdam, try something off the beaten track to save money. “One of the hidden gems in Europe is Slovenia, and it’s affordable compared to the rest of Europe,” says Dimon. “There are great restaurants, and particularly amazing pizza being so close to Italy. It’s a little off the radar, but I was incredibly impressed with it when I visited,” she says. “Just north of the capital city of Ljubljana you can find great hiking in the Julian Alps.”

India is a huge country and therefore offers so much in terms of travel diversity, whether you’re traveling for culture, food, adventure or wellness — oh, and it’s really cheap. “India is one of my favorite places. The food is incredible, and dishes range from $3 to $4 to an over-the-top, fancy brunch for $35,” says Dimon. “India has something for everyone, whether it’s backpackers or a spiritual yoga retreat. It is also very affordable to get around, from rickshaws to trains to buses.”

Dimon deems beer a great indication of affordability when you travel, and in Bolivia a beer is $1 — so you can’t go wrong here. But even if you aren’t a beer fan, Bolivia is an affordable location with lots to offer. One of the highlights is a trip to beautiful Lake Titicaca, South America’s second-largest body of fresh water. Get up-close and personal with the iconic lake with a reed-boat ride across the water. Shopping for souvenirs is also affordable (which means more cool stuff for your friends). “There are amazing llama and baby alpaca products in Bolivia, from gloves to $1 scarves that I took back to my girlfriends,” Dimon tells us.
