7 Hot fall hairstyles

As the summer months end, the days are getting cooler. As the fall nears, though, you can look hot. Here are seven hairstyles that will turn heads.

High Pony

High ponytails are super-chic and hassle-free. Just look at Zoe Saldana during the Cannes International Film Festival. Wrap a piece of hair from your ponytail around your hair elastic and secure it with a bobby pin to look even more red-carpet-ready.

Bangs

At the Burberry reopening in Beverly Hills, Anna Friel was all about the bangs. Bangs are a great way to change up your look, especially for fall. They can be overbearing and heavy in the summer, but in the cooler months, they add structure and style to your hair. Bangs complement long and short hair alike.

Loose Curls

Loose curls are very in for fall, as Jennifer Lopez demonstrates. They’re a relaxed style, but forever elegant. For short or thin hair, use a small curling iron. For thick, long hair, bigger irons create dramatic dimension. Pull a few curls back with a bobby pin or put half up to modify the look.

Side Bun

Wear a chic side bun at a formal event (like Amanda Holden at the National Television Awards), at a casual dinner or for a night out on the town. Side buns are a modern spin on a classic ‘do. Sweep bangs to the same side as the bun so they flow into it, or pull a few loose hairs down in front of your forehead. With this hairstyle, the possibilities are endless.

Long Braid

Stephanie Pratt has the braided look down. You can, too: It’s one of the easiest, trendiest hairstyles for fall. Part your hair before you start braiding to avoid a half-ponytail, half-braid apperance. Braids are like accessories themselves, and they’re a great way to keep hair away from your face. Pull your braid to the front to draw attention to the back of a killer outfit.

Headband

Headbands are not just for working out. This fall, wear beaded, jeweled, colorful or patterned headbands (just not all at once, please). Berenice Bejo shows off a thin headband, which can add the perfect amount of sparkle to any outfit. Try a thicker headband when you are wearing monotones.

Bob

For those with shorter hair, a bob is the way to go this fall. Bob haircuts have been around for ages, but they have recently been reinvented. Dannii Minogue shows off her short hair in London. This style really makes facial features stand out.
