4 signs your friendship is over

by

Friends are the foundation of our lives. They support us, they keep us grounded and they’re always there to catch us when we fall. But friends can also cause us a lot of grief and drama when things go awry. If you find yourself experiencing any of the following dramas, chances are your friendship is on its way out.

You’re constantly fighting

You know the saying “When it rains, it pours?” Well, when you’re always fighting with your close friend, it’s a warning sign that something has gone wrong. Everyone fights and gets annoyed with their friends, but if you feel like you’re constantly in the middle of a blowout, something has changed in your relationship, for the worse.

Your friend makes you feel bad about yourself

Friends are supposed to lift us up when we’re down, not bring us down. If you’re constantly feeling inadequate around your friend or they’re always putting you down, chances are the relationship has taken a turn for the worse. Long story short, ladies, don’t ever stay in a relationship where the other person constantly makes you feel horrible about yourself.

You feel like you’ve grown apart

People get busy and we all go through periods where we might not get to see or talk to our close friends for a while. But if you’re constantly feeling as though there’s no longer a close bond between you and your formerly close friend, chances are you’re drifting apart. Even worse, if you’ve tried several times to rekindle the friendship with no effort on your friend’s part, it’s time to decide whether or not the bond is worth salvaging.

You’re happiest when you’re not around each other

Most people are happiest when they’re surrounded by the ones they love. If you’re actually feeling relieved that you haven’t seen your friend in awhile (whether it’s because you’re constantly fighting or because you feel like you no longer know them that well), that’s not a good sign.
