To-die-for shoes for spring

When shopping for shoes this spring, look for bold, eye-catching styles. Check out these trendy, dramatic spring shoes that you’ll love. They don’t come cheap, but these shoes are worth the splurge.

Colorblock sandals

Colorblocking is hot in fashion right now — in dresses, tops and even shoes. This season, look for sandals and other shoes with bold colorblock effects in surprising, vibrant color combinations. We love the look of the Jean-Michel Cazabat colorblock sandals ($320 at Saks). These gorgeous sandals don’t just feature several colors, they also combine four different textures — patent leather, smooth leather, suede and wood. The sky-high (six inches!) chunky heel and thick platform are also indicative of some of spring’s hottest trends. You can wear these shoes with everything from a bright tee and white capris to your favorite spring dresses.

Flatforms

Not every woman loves super high heels. If you want the lift and added height of high heels without all the pain in your feet and back, look for flatforms. These trendy shoes have a platform sole that is of similar height to its wedge heel. The result is a look that is both comfortable and stylish. Check out the Bettye Muller flatforms ($210 at Bloomingdale’s). These flatform sandals are glamorous without a lot of fuss. They feature a metallic-coated raffia upper, thick crisscross straps and a braided raffia wedge heel. You can partner these sandals with a flowing spring dress and stack of bangles for a fresh boho-chic look.

Printed pumps

Printed shoes and sandals are always on-trend for spring. From fierce animal prints to blurred abstracts to flirty floral patterns, you’ll find a number of print shoes available right now that are perfect for springtime. If you love florals, step into these cheery floral print pumps from Oscar de la Renta this season ($695 at Bergdorf Goodman). These fun designer shoes feature a classic shape, pointed toe and red and white floral print fabric. You can wear these pumps with everything in your closet — from a red suit at the office to a white cotton dress for a daytime date.

Cork platforms

Platforms are all the rage. This season, look for platforms and heels made from natural elements — like cork. For a real splurge, consider these Lanvin woven block heel sandals ($1,015 at Farfetch). They feature so many unique details — the goldtone link front straps, the black and white woven leather heel and the cork platform. These shoes will set you back over a grand, but they look like a million bucks.
