Livia Firth Design
Livia Firth isn’t just actor Colin Firth’s wife. She’s also one of the top eco-luxury fashion designers. The Eco Age creative director recently launched her small luxury line of clothing and accessories, Livia Firth Design. The pieces will be released individually throughout the year. Firth says that the collection is created with “love, fair trade rules, and environmental standards in mind.”
You can purchase The Skull Necklace pictured here right now online. These necklaces are made by hand in a small artisan co-operative workshop in Devon using ancient Egyptian techniques from over 4,000 years ago. Also check out the Eco Age selection that Firth put together that is being sold at YOOX. You’ll find dresses, sandals, bags, jewelry and more, all from today’s top eco-chic lines. We love the Mink vegan shoes, created with 100 percent animal-free materials, and the 1960s-inspired Kami Organic short dress, made from certified organic cotton.

H&M Conscious
If you love the clothes from H&M but haven’t been thrilled with their practices in the past, you aren’t alone. At one point, they were accused of trashing damaged and unsold clothes rather than recycling or reusing them. However, now they have an eco-friendly line — H&M Conscious. The Spring 2012 Exclusive Conscious Collection features pieces made from organic cotton, hemp and recycled polyester that are red carpet worthy. In fact, the blue tuxedo blazer and shorts pictured here have already been seen on the red carpet — actress Amanda Seyfried wore this outfit to a London premiere. Kristin Davis, Viola Davis and Michelle Williams have also been seen on the red carpet in H&M eco-luxury pieces.
The Spring 2012 Exclusive Conscious Collection from H&M Conscious will be available in about 100 H&M stores worldwide as of April 12, with selected looks online as well.
JUJUBE
JUJUBE designs apparel using eco-friendly fabrics that are produced in a socially responsible way. Their eco-luxury company lives by the motto: “Save Cost. Save Space. Save the Earth.” What’s cool about the line is that it features zipping modular parts. They use a patented modulated clothing design system to reduce material consumption and maximize style. You can take five modulated designs and create as many as 25 different looks. Learn more about JUJUBE Boutique online.
ModaFusion
French fashion journalist Nadine Gonzalez and Brazilian designer Andrea Fasanello discovered the creative talent of women in the slums of Rio de Janeiro and started a social project that evolved into the ModaFusion fashion line. The collections use bamboo banana fiber, fish skin, organic cotton and PET from recycled plastic bottles to create unique dresses, tops and other pieces that you’ll adore. The creators of this line are looking to get their pieces sold online soon at ModaFusion.org, but right now they are only available at select Rio boutiques.
