Long weekend getaways

A routine day leads to a routine week, which leads to a routine month and so on.

When you’re in a serious relationship, the same type of schedule day in and day out can add a little pressure to keep things interesting. Maybe you set goals to try out new restaurants, go see more movies and not spend so many late nights in the office. A predictable lifestyle can lead to a stagnant relationship and a lack of spontaneity can affect different core parts of the reasons you’re together.

So… what can you do? How about take a quick trip together and remove yourselves from what you see as “real life?” You don’t have to go far… there’s definitely something for everyone. Here are some really awesome options, broken up by region!

is located 15 minutes from Phoenix SkyHarbor International airport. El Portal Sedona Hotel is a 12 suite bed and breakfast located in the heart of Sedona. Best part? They allow dogs for those couples who don’t want to leave their four-legged family member at home!

Inn at Glimmerstone Mansionis a bed and breakfast in historic Cavendish, Vermont. It boasts a giant outdoor hot tub, a downstairs pub, a quiet living room, library, dining room and a huge stone veranda with a lush yard and gardens. Standing at over 100 years old, the Glimmerstone’s namesake is thanks to the overwhelming feldspar, mica and quartz in the granite which gives the home its glimmering hue.

Red Crags Estates is a hidden gem! A trio of Four Diamond bed and breakfasts is located in a lovely historic neighborhood of Manitou Springs. Rockledge Country Inn is private and secluded, set behind majestic gates of a by-gone era. Grand Lake Lodge is a stately rustic lodge located on the National Registry of Historic Places.
