Valentine’s Day style tips

Style blogger Annabelle Fleur of “Viva Luxury” is no stranger to fashion. Not only does she live and breathe it, she’s lent us her style expertise as a style blogger for LovingYou! Find out what her tips are for dressing hot for Valentine’s Day.

Whether you’re a color enthusiast or prefer a more subtle approach, there are a few ways to add red to your ensemble on Valentine’s Day.

That little red dress

A red dress has always been a Valentine’s Day must-have and if it happens to be your staple, you’re definitely in luck this year! This season’s ladylike trend inspired designers to create some of the most beautiful and glamorous dresses to date.

Currently, I’m having quite a bit of trouble deciding between a sweet and pretty red lace Diane Von Furstenberg dress, a sleek and elegant Reiss sheath, and a Va Va Voom sexy Herve Leger A-line bandage number. Paired with nude pumps and neutral accessories, any one of the three is absolutely perfect for creating a romantic Valentine’s Day look.

Accessorize with red

If in-your-face ruby is not your cup of tea, a great way to wear red is by adding a few crimson-hued accessories. Being a complete shoe-aholic, I’ll take any excuse to go shoe shopping, and a pair of red heels is definitely a great way to spice up any look.

Take for example these gorgeous patent leather platform pumps by Prada. Paired with a tailored black pantsuit and slicked-back ponytail, they would add a fun and romantic element to a bold and modern look. For a more ladylike approach, opt for a pair of Valentino lace couture pumps, guaranteed to turn any outfit into a head-turner. Bold jewelry is another great way to wear red for Valentine’s Day.

Deep berry-colored nails are a subtle way of adding some romance to your Valentine’s Day look.

To maximize the impact, I suggest sticking to a single statement item, as opposed to wearing a few smaller pieces. At the moment, I am absolutely smitten with these cascading chandelier Panacea earrings, which add a perfect romantic touch to any outfit, especially if paired with side-swept sculpted waves and a simple little black dress.

The best accessory

At the end of the day, I think the key to looking great on Valentine’s Day is to have fun with fashion and perhaps venture a bit out of your comfort zone. At the same time, stay true to your style and of course add the most important accessory of all — your confidence!

Adding lots of accessories is a flirty way to dress up a casual outfit.
