3 Ways to shake up your sock bun

We all love the ease and elegance of a sock bun. Go traditional, or try one of our modified looks to add a new twist to your sock bun.

Grab a sock, cut off the toes and roll it into a doughnut.
Then follow these steps to create some beautiful and creative sock buns.

This is your traditional high and elegant sock bun.

1. Brush your hair out and put it in a high ponytail.
2. Spread hair around your head and the elastic and add another elastic around the spread hair to create a bun.
3. Swirl the remaining hair around the bun while you pin with bobby pins.

This is a great way to create another elegant updo that is very chic.

1. Brush your hair out and put it in a low ponytail that is slightly to the side with a side part.
2. Spread hair around your head and the bun and add another elastic around the spread hair to create a bun.
3. Swirl the remaining hair around the bun while you pin with bobby pins.

This is a messier and more casual looking bun.

1. Part your hair on the side and French braid a small section of hair. Then, tie with an elastic or stick a bobby pin at the end.
2. Pull hair into a medium ponytail.
3. Put your sock bun at the end of your ponytail and tuck your ends into the center of the bun.
4. Roll and tuck hair inside the bun all the way down your ponytail. Then, bobby pin the braided piece underneath the bun to hide.
